Give your customers a unique and authentic experience
George grew up in Greece where delicious, authentic, high-quality food is at the heart of every gathering.
George came to know Port Hope on holidays and summers when he came to help his parents at their restaurant, while attending the University of Guelph.
"I love that Port Hope is a hidden gem. First time visitors quickly become returning fans."
After graduation, when an opportunity to bring his vision for a fun, innovative approach to gourmet burgers with a Greek twist presented itself in downtown Port Hope, George jumped on it.
His building needed a complete redesign and renovation.
"There are very exacting rules when it comes to food preparations and service. I have to admit, I was a little nervous about the permit process, especially since I was adding a patio and applying for a new liquor license, without any previous experience. From the start, Mark Perkins from the Municipality gave me advice and guidance which I was careful to follow. So the process went just fine."
Today, George is not simply selling burgers, he is delivering a next generation cultural food experience.
From the get go, George has made giving back to the community a priority. Proceeds from various promotions throughout the year and the sale of their "I Came, I Ate, I Conquered" tshirts are donated to the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank.
